Culinary Services Aide – Part-Time Morning Shift

Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend required

A Typical Day

As a Culinary Services Aide, you'll support both the kitchen and dining areas throughout your shift. Your work may include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing dishes, silverware, glasses, cookware, and kitchen tools
• Keeping dishwashing stations and surrounding kitchen areas neat and ready for use
• Helping culinary staff with basic food preparation, such as washing and cutting produce, preparing salads, or assembling desserts
• Getting dining spaces ready before meals and helping keep them organized afterward
• Moving food carts, dishes, and other supplies throughout the community
• Taking out waste and maintaining clean, sanitary work areas
• Following established food-safety, sanitation, and infection-prevention practices
• Pitching in with coworkers to help meals and service run efficiently

You'll be an important part of the team that helps residents enjoy a pleasant and well-organized dining experience.

You don't need a culinary background to succeed in this role. We provide training and will help you learn the job.

• Shows up reliably and takes responsibility for their work
• Works well with coworkers and is comfortable being part of a team
• Notices when something needs to be cleaned, organized, or restocked
• Can follow instructions and established safety procedures
• Maintains a positive, helpful attitude during busy periods
• Is comfortable performing routine and repetitive tasks while paying attention to details

Previous restaurant, kitchen, housekeeping, healthcare, or senior-living experience is welcome but not required.

What the Job Requires

This is an active position, and you'll spend much of your shift on your feet. Candidates should be able to:

• Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
• Frequently lift or handle items weighing up to 10 pounds
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements
• Safely complete assigned duties while following sanitation and infection-prevention requirements
